Exploring and Empathizing with the World using Google Earth

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In this session, we will learn how to make Google Earth place marks that record the news articles we read from around the world. Once we make a habit of learning about the world and creating place marks to track our learning, we can model for students how they might similarly use Google Earth to record what they learn about the world and expand their global horizons in the procss. The presenter, Steve Goldberg, has been making Google Earth place marks for the past 5 years and now has a collection of more than 1,500 place marks, each of which tells a story and potentially leads to a new learning connection.
